Chrissie's 21st Charm Bracelet. Chrissie asked me to make her a new "chunkier" charm bracelet for her 21st birthday. So what do I do...?215 views...Yep, I decide that buying large, chunky chain is too expensive so I would learn how to do silver soldering so I could make one myself...
$700 or $800 later and here is the finished product...
All rings were cut and soldered by me. Unfortunately, I ran into some difficulty when it came time to solder the actual charm links on... They just wouldn't take for some reason, so I will give her some pliers so she can keep an eye on them herself. ;-)

Jen's Necklace. May 2009158 viewsMy daughter-in-law Jen asked me if I could make her some jewellery, so I invited her over to look through a pile of magazines so I could get a feeling for what she likes.
This necklace is an adaption of one she found in The Bead Book, a South African bead magazine.
Contains base metal components, my own lampwork beads and assorted other pink and gold coloured bits and pieces. A great way to use up leftovers...

Chrissie's 18th Birthday Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet221 viewsI was meant to be making Chrissie a black and white choker that she asked me for, oh, about a year ago, but after making all those butterflies, I ran out of time. I hope she likes this instead.Jun 28, 2006

"18" Butterfly277 viewsThis one was a bit more of a challenge to make. I should have taken shots of each step as I just made it up as I went along and by the time I got to start on the second wing, well, i had to more or less make that up as I went along as well... Seed beads, cats eye beads and lampwork beads make up this one. Wired again on florists wire. Happy 18th Chrissie. :-)Jun 28, 2006

Green and Yellow Beaded Butterfly432 viewsOk, I've decided to get a bit creative now. For my third butterfly, I found some pictures and decide to see how close I can get to the real thing. This one is mainly seed beads and a couple of czech beads and my own lampwork beads for bits of the body. This one is wired using florists wire.Jun 28, 2006

Red Beaded Butterfly459 viewsI made four beaded butterflies for my youngest daughters 18th birthday next month. This is the first one I attempted. Consisting of seed and bugle beads, czech AB beads, one opalite two holed bead, some of my lampwork beads (including the face bead), and a cathedral bead. All wired on 26 gauge artist wire.
